Solo Traveler #45: Bite Matte Cream Lip Crayon

16251140_10100924202484179_959714803_oI picked up Bite Matte Cream Lip Crayon as part of the Give Me Some Bold Lip set from Sephora Favorites. I ordered it online at Sephora.com. It was a Christmas gift from Mom. I had already picked out a replacement gift when I couldn’t find this in store. Mom paid ½ and I paid ½, but I picked it out. 😀

Matte lip crayons are my favorite kind of lipstick. Bite’s crayon scored a whopping 23! It only really lost points due to the fact that I had to reapply it about as often as a regular cream lipstick. With a good lip primer, I get about 2 hours of wear time with real color and about another hour with a kind of stain-like color. It doesn’t get patchy… it just fades to a stain after a while.

This will crumble at the corners of your mouth like most lipsticks, so be aware of that. A good lip liner and a light application with blotting and setting powder minimizes the crumbles though.

Like any liquid and/or matte lipsticks, the health of your lips will affect the wear. If you have chapped lips, this lipstick will accentuate the chapped flakes. Exfoliate, use balm, stop licking your lips, and drink plenty of water.

I have this product in the shade Augergine. It is the perfect berry shade that can work at the office, at a party, or on a date.

I have the sample size of this lipstick. The full size will knock you back $24.00 ($480.00/oz). That is quite a hefty per ounce price tag! Despite how well this product scored, I’d still much prefer my ELF matte lip crayons for $3.00 ($60.00/oz) each. I get a bit more wear out of the ELF products for a whole lot less money.

  1. Hmm it looks like your site ate my first comment (it was
extremely long) so I guess I’ll just sum it up what I had written and say, I’m
thoroughly enjoying your blog. I as well am an aspiring blog blogger but I’m still new to everything.
Do you have any points for first-time blog writers? I’d definitely appreciate
    it.
